Our spiritual culture today over-emphasizes the individual, and under emphasizes–or completely erases–the role that inviting others into your spiritual walk plays. This outward, missional expression, is often thought as an “add-on” to Christianity, whereas Pentecost Sunday reminds us that it is very much the central implication of Pentecost.
