A series of 5-minute meditations on the names and attributes of God to cultivate neural pathways of curiosity and wonder

Rewiring Your Brain
Did you know that the brain has the ability to change and restructure itself?

Your mental activity, whether thoughts or feelings, strengthens specific neural pathways. Neural pathways form the physiological basis of your habits of thinking, feeling, and acting. When you encounter disappointment or stress, your mind naturally wanders to places. That wandering points to a preexisting neural pathway formed through repeated thoughts and feelings.

For example, if you worry or fixate on anxious thoughts, you strengthen neural pathways of anxiety. Every thought you think, every feeling you feel, strengthens the circuitry in your brain.

During this season of Lent, we invite you to cultivate new neural pathways of curiosity and wonder to help you access pathways of peace in all circumstances.

Power of Being Known
Deep down inside, we all want to be seen, known, and loved. However, if we are honest with ourselves, we often feel that if someone truly knew us–our inner-life, thoughts patterns, secrets–then they might not like or accept us.

Can you imagine being known by a source of divine love in a way that makes you feel understood, accepted, safe, forgiven, and loved?

Pause and observe how those words resonate in your body.

When we experience love while being fully seen and known, we form what neuroscience calls a secure connection. It is in this secure connection of being known that new neurological pathways form.

5-Minute Meditations
These moments of secure connection can happen through meditation.  We invite you each day during Lent to experience this secure connection by sitting with and meditating on a different name or attribute of the god of the Bible.

Use it as your sacred word to guide your practice and to ground you throughout the day.

These 5-minute meditations equip you with a way to gather your energy and train your brain to cultivate new neurological pathways of curiosity and wonder.  As you deepen your practice, you will develop a sense of ease in connecting with and accessing the divine peace of God in all circumstances.

Sign-up below to receive these meditations in a daily email, or download our app to access them each day.

We will also share accompanying artworks by Artist in Residence, David Chang, and Designer Emilie Ahern, each day to help guide your meditation. They will be available to download, print, or share.
